What Constitutes a Medical Emergency?
Call 911 immediately if you or someone else is experiencing:
Life-Threatening Symptoms:
- Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath 
- Chest pain or pressure 
- Severe bleeding that won't stop 
- Loss of consciousness or fainting 
- Severe allergic reactions (difficulty breathing, swelling of face/throat) 
- Signs of stroke (sudden weakness, slurred speech, facial drooping) 
- Signs of heart attack (chest pain, arm pain, nausea, sweating) 
- Severe burns 
- Suspected poisoning or overdose 
- Severe head injuries 
- Broken bones with visible deformity 
- Suicidal thoughts or intentions 
Pediatric Emergencies:
- High fever in infants under 3 months 
- Difficulty breathing in children 
- Signs of severe dehydration 
- Ingestion of potentially harmful substances 
- Severe allergic reactions
