What Constitutes a Medical Emergency?
Call 911 immediately if you or someone else is experiencing:
Life-Threatening Symptoms:
Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
Chest pain or pressure
Severe bleeding that won't stop
Loss of consciousness or fainting
Severe allergic reactions (difficulty breathing, swelling of face/throat)
Signs of stroke (sudden weakness, slurred speech, facial drooping)
Signs of heart attack (chest pain, arm pain, nausea, sweating)
Severe burns
Suspected poisoning or overdose
Severe head injuries
Broken bones with visible deformity
Suicidal thoughts or intentions
Pediatric Emergencies:
High fever in infants under 3 months
Difficulty breathing in children
Signs of severe dehydration
Ingestion of potentially harmful substances
Severe allergic reactions
